A Historic Day for us as a Committee, as Slane Community and surrounding areas as a whole. We are delighted to officially start on what has been a long, passionate project. The first sod was turned yesterday on the site that will be our new Community Centre. Congratulations to everyone who has gotten us to this point. For all the hard work behind the scenes. For the support, the sponsorship, donations. You have enabled us to get here. We need your help more than ever. Together as a community we can do this. Thanks to Croft Constuction and Lorrac Developments and James Shanley for getting the show on the road. Suzanne Delaney and Dr. Conor Brady for over seeing H&S and the Archaeological side of things. Thanks also to all the committee members . Your time, experience and commitment to this project is the reason we are here. Special thanks to Maeve Carbin, Colm Devin and David Powell and Donal O’Gorman.
